Edward grimaced horribly. "Curdled Milk... Eww." Edward stuck his toungue out for effect.
He laughed hard at her expression. It was hilarious! "I thought not." He was barely able to say.
"You lucky person you..." Edward slanted his eyes again. "My mom is always such a fussy perfectionist."
((Understandable))

She laughed, "It is, but sometimes it's just going sour when they give it to you so you can't tell from it's appearance whether or not its any good."
She chuckled and shook her head, "And that's the only clue you'll get." She hoped! She would die of embarrassment if Edward, or anyone, found out!
She chuckled, "I just have to deal with you and Annie." She shook her head, a slightly evil smile on her lips. "Oh Edward, Alanna needs someone girly to dress up." As she said that, she backed up, ready to dodge the inevitable hit coming her way.

((I am BACK!!! No more stupid EXAMS!!!!!))
Edward shuddered. The idea of slightly curdled milk made him sick. Heck, it WOULD make you sick. "Note to self: No milk."
"Well, that doesn't narrow down my guessing range. There are a lot of people here that are young and our age. Obviously you want him to stay annonymous, which makes me ever more curious..." He almost wondered if she liked the morning milk boy.
Edward shrugged. He didn't fuss over Rukan much, so it didn't matter.
"I AM NOT GIRLY!!!!!!!!" Edward said loudly, drawing some glances from people near by. He lowered his voice and corssed his arms in minor anger, "That's what my sister is for."

((WOOT!!))
Rukan smiled at Edward’s reaction. She may have been exaggerating just a little bit. They had milk sometimes, but they wouldn’t serve it if there was even a hint of it not being good.
She blushed slightly, shaking her head, “You aren’t supposed to be guessing! You know, some people like their crushes to be private!!” She hid her face in her hands, and moaned, “No Eddie!! I don’t want anyone to find out!!!” She uncovered her face, and gave a small smile, hoping it would seem like she was only being silly.
Rukan laughed at Edward’s reaction, “Oh Edward…” She shook her head, still laughing slightly. “Of course, of course. Except that they seem to be better at hiding from your mother than you!”

Alynta stood before her mirror and twirled in a circle, admiring every inch of her gorgeous dress. Because it was such a beautiful emerald colour it electrified the colour of her eyes. The dress was long and the hem swirled around her ankles almost like an ocean of delicate green. Alynta’s copper hair had been smoothed up into an elegant chignon and fastened with several crystal beaded pins. Alynta smiled, realising how beautiful she looked. It suddenly dawned on her how late she actually was and she hurriedly left her room and headed down the flight of stairs to the ballroom, being overly cautiousl not to trip over the hem of her gown. Although she tried to hurry, it seemed like an age before she reached the parted doors and the staircase leading down into the ballroom. She paused at the top, noticing that everyone had already arrived. She had barely placed a foot on the first step before the entire room fell silent, and Alynta looked around, everyone was staring at her. Lapping up the attention, Alynta continued down the stairs. Halfway down she felt her shoe snag on the front hem of her dress. Alynta felt herself tumble forward, and she closed her eyes as the ground speedily rose up to meet her.

Loki cut off from his conversation with Roxy as another person entered the ballroom. This one was much more interesting than any of the others. It was Alynta, Edward's sister, the girl that caused most of the strife between himself and Jack, though both had agreed that until Alynta had chosen that was the way things were going to be.
However, as Alynta began to stumble, Loki was suddenly extremely glad how close they were standing to the entryway. He leaped over, catching Alynta just before she hit the ground, though he had to careful how he grabbed her, she wasn't one of the guys to get joustled, she was a lady and he had to be careful.
He glanced briefly over at Jack and smirked, before returning his full attention to his lady. Standing her up carefully, he smiled, "I hope that you're alright." It would be horrible if she'd twisted her ankle or anything like that... though he probably would be the one carrying her to the healer's wing.... But he hoped that she was fine.

Before Alynta could come in contact with the ground, she felt herself landing in the arms of someone. Wondering who had caught her, she opened her eyes, and found herself gazing at Loki. A slow smile spread across her face as he placed her gently on the ground.
“I hope that you’re alright?” he asked softly, gazing at her with concern.
“Just a little startled.” Alynta replied. “Thankyou for catching me.”
((I hope that's not too short. I meant to make it longer but I have been finishing assignments all day and haven't had much time))

((Understood!! We understand assignments... At least... I hope we do... 'cause if not I'm SCREWED!!!))
Edward rolled his eyes. "Alright, I won't ask, and if I guess I won't tell..." He dropped his shoulders and head in defeat. Battles he could never win: crush battles.
Edward was fighting the urge to 'blow up' at Rukan for her comment when he noticed his sister.
"Uh oh..." he said, knowing trouble was going to be afoot VERY soon. He watched, not without twitching, as she pranced her way down the steps, only to trip on her dress at the bottom.
"Well, that was smooth." He said, hand automatically going to kneed his forhead in exasperation. He looked up to see Loki had caught her. That was going to put a thorn in Jack's side.
"I think we may be doing a fair bit of calming soon, Ruk. VERY soon." He started walking back to the group. "Come on Rukan," he offered her an arm, "We must greet my sister." Which was basically code for: We must calm Jack and Loki.

Any watched in horror as Alynta began to fall. In this stupid dress Annie couldn't move fast enough to even catch her. Slowly she walked over to Alynta. She quickly curtsied and mumbled "Alynta of prirate's swoop," before fussing over her. "Gosh Alynta, smooth eh," she whispered. Annie looked at Jacks face. Quickly she put an hand on his shoulder "Next time," she whispered.

((The post size is fine Maddie. Loki can work with that... though I'll have to rp with him tomorrow... I'm dead on my feet at the moment.))
Rukan almost felt bad - guilty even - as Edward dropped his head down sadly. "Oh Edward! You'll probably figure it out anyways!" But there was no way that she was going to willingly tell him.
She did feel guilty after the look on his face, he didn't like her little comment, even though she'd meant in jest. So she whispered, "Sorry." Before looking at Alynta as she entered.
Rukan winced as Alynta almost did a face plant. That was the reason she didn't care for dresses with long trails! Though she was lucky that Loki had been near enough to catch her.
She nodded, "What an exciting evening to be home. Calming people down... I coulda stayed on the Scanran border and done that!" She bit her lip slightly and then took Edward's arm. "Indeed we must!" With that they headed towards the rest of the group.
((Annie, Jack wasn't standing that close to Annie, as he'd moved to talk more with Artemis))

Loki was glad that he was the cause of the smile on Alynta's face. It was a gorgeous smile that made her entire face light up. He kept his arms slightly around her to make sure that she was steady and wouldn't fall again.
He nodded at her reply. "I'm glad that you're alright." He shook his head, "It was no problem at all."
He was forced to lower his arms and back off a little as Annie came forward and fussed over Alynta. He looked around breifly, Edward and Rukan wre coming over, having abandoned the drink table, arm in arm. He was surprised to see Ru. He hadn't seen her enter. He allowed a slight frown to cross his face before he was back to his normal self. Dang it! Edward beat me, and by the looks of it Jack, He glanced over at Jack who was talking with a Queen's Rider, to the stories!

"I'm fine," Alynta said almost embarrassed at the attention she was receiving... Almost. Alynta was attracted to attention like a moth to a flame and she guessed that was how the whole love triangle thing with Jack and Loki had started. She adored attention, and was always searching for a way to get it.
"I'm fine." Alynta repeated examining the hem of her dress as the group clustered around her. It had torn slightly but was barely noticeable.
"Although," She remarked teasingly, turning her green-eyed gaze to the group surrounding her, "I can't believe everyone appeared to be having fun without me."
((Nobody minds if I use pink as my post colour, do they?))

"Good," Annie said, hoping she wasn't just saying she was okay. She grinned, "We weren't having too much fun." The princess was startled as the first song was played. "Lets all grab a partner," she said and grabbed Roxas's wrist before leaning over to whisper to Alynta. "I suggest you dance with both of them, but dance with Jack first," she advised before walking with Roxas to the dance floor. "Are you a good dancer?" she asked.

The Queen of Tortall watched from where she was sitting, as all of the nobles slowly filed their way into the room. All dressed in their finest. The older ones wanting to show off their wealth and their heirs. She shook her head slightly, a slight smile on her lips, balls were the best time for match making. As were feasts, though she could only say that as she'd met Jonathon at a feast. She glanced sideways at her husband, he was busy talking with someone.
She was wearing a long dark red dress, that emphasized her in all the right places. It had neither a modest or scandalous neckline, rather one that seemed to be just in between. A corset, of sorts, was around her middle, black string tied in the front. The sleeves were long and flowy. Her long black hair was styled elagantly on top of her head, with a few strands fashionally hanging down, framing her face.
Thayet turned her attention back to the floor. She raised an eyebrow, there seemed to be a bit of commotion on the floor. She chuckled quietly, poor Alynta of Pirate's Swoop, it seemed, had nearly taken a spill on the floor, but was only saved due to Loki of Naxen. This caused a stir among the other young people standing near there, Annie being one of them.
She frowned slightly as she looked at her daughter, before her expression returned to a more neutral/pleasant expression. She loved her daughter, she truly did, and only wanted the best for her and for her to be happy. However, she did not want her daughter to go to the border, no matter what. She wasn't going to lose a daughter to war. Maybe when Annie was older she'd be able to go. But not yet.

Wondering where Sir Bob of Olau might be? Ah yes he has literally forgotten that the Ball was even on tonight. Bob sighed deeply, playing with the small green box. To most people it would just be a box, but it wasn't just any box. Inside it laid his great grandmothers engagement ring. Poor Bob had been in the room for a few hours pondering Artemis. She was a keeper, but how did he know if she really was the right one? The answer was: he can't, something that bothered him greatly. Bob looked at himself in the mirror, suddenly something clicked. He was meant to be at the Royal Ball over an hour ago. Quickly he went to his cupboard andpulled out his best clothing, putting them on and then combing his hair. He only stopped on the way out to put the green box on his dresser. He literally ran all the way to the Ball Room. What would Arty think? She would be all by herself with noone to dance with and it would be his fault. Once he arrived at the doors he looked down, nly to see all of his friends. He quickly walked down the steps over to Arty's side. "Please forgive me," he whispered as he bowed to her.
