Artemis smiled and giggled slightly. She was feeling a bit light-headed. She loved being held by Bob, the feeling of security in his arms. Though she caught the hint at the end of what her love said. "Nothings going to happen. We're together." She wrapped her arms around him as best as she could, snuggling as close to him as she could get.
She gave a slight shake of her head and then spoke in a queit voice, one that bordered on the edge of fear. "Lets not talk about that anymore, 'kay?" The thought of him going and possibly going was enough to bring her down from her happy state to one of worry.

Bob could hear the fear and insecurity in Artemis's voice. Seeing her scared made him nervous, and worried. He felt very protective of her and wanted to make sure she would be safe no matter what happened to him. "We won't talk about it any more. We will enjoy the time we have left together before I go off, and we will have funlike we used to," he said softly. Tonight reminded him of the good old days, when they were love struck teenagers. They were only nineteen now, and it was true they should be having fun. "Arty, tell me the truth now. What was going on with you and Jack? I don't care, but I want the truth," he whispered to her beforfe yawning.

Artemis smiled tiredly and relaxed, feeling the insecurites drift away. "I'm glad." She laughed quietly, suddenly wondering (and worrying) about how sound proof the walls were. "That'll be great. Its been a while since we've actually acted our ages. Though I suppose we're on the verge of no longer being considered teenage even by the ends of our ages."
Artemis looked up again, taking in Bob's face as well as she could in the dim light. "Bob, nothing is going on between me an' Jack! We flirted a bit tonight before you arrived that was it!" She bit her lip, forcing herself not to get teary, "Do you not trust me anymore?" Though her voice stayed clear, her voice was barely above a whisper.

Bob sighed. "You're right! Soon we'll be asked to think of children and marriage and wars and ..." Bob stopped and began to think about a few of those things. He wanted to marry Artie one day, but not yet, he would love to have kids and the last one, war... War, a horrible thing, was already coming true. He wondered about marriage and children, where they closer than he thought? He had always thought he wouldn't be going to war untill later on, but he had underestimated that.
Bob couldn't see Artemis's face in the dim light, but he could picture it, and the thought made him cringe. He knew she would be about to have another break down, and Bob didn't want that to happen. He just wrapped his arms tighter around her, taking her all in, not saying anything for a long time. "Arty..." he started, but stopped. "You know I trust you, I would run to the end of the world and back for you," he said, before weakly planting a kiss on her lips. They were both getting tired now, as you might be able to tell.

Artemis smiled and let out a small 'eek'. She chuckled, "I love you Bob. But I'm not ready for children for a long while yet." She knew that he would notice that she hadn't even mentioned the marriage part, while she loved him, she wasn't quite sure if she'd ever be able to give up her freedom and become a married woman. Sure Alanna, Edward's mom, had managed, but that was because George was content to stay home and look after the fief. But for her and Bob.... Bob was a knight and she was a Queen's Rider. Both professions were ones that tended to require lots of time spent on the road.
Artemis nodded, though she knew that Bob would feel her nod, rather than see it. As his arm wrapped around her tighter, she nuzzled in, loving the feeling of secureness and warmth. The feeling of belonging. She was able to control her tears and she didn't cry, though she knew that Bob had 'sensed' her mood. He said he trusted her but had had to ask her what was going on between her and Jack! But she knew that they were both tired and that Bob was just trying to be protective. "I know Bob. I would do that too." She kissed him back lightly, then sighed happily when they stopped. She leaned her head against his chest and closed her eyes, "I love you...."

'I love you too," and with that Bob fell into a deep sleep.
